In the latest in our series of holiday guides, we take a look at swapping the sand for the sea as we encourage you to take one of the many boat trips in Pembrokeshire and see the county like never before.
Pembrokeshire, undoubtedly, boasts one of the finest coastlines in Europe (we may be a little biased…). Many of use have walked various stretches of the coast path or made the most of the stunning beaches – but why not see the county’s magnificent coastline from a different perspective?
If you’ve booked your self-catering holiday in Pembrokeshire and are looking for a great way to spend a sunny day, then a boat trip is definitely worth considering!
Running daily from Saundersfoot Harbour (where there is easy access and parking), here you can enjoy trips out onto the ocean to sample everything from mackerel fishing and seal watching on Caldey Island near Tenby to wild bird spotting on St Margaret’s.

No trip to Pembrokeshire (in our opinion) is complete without a trip to Tenby. With its amazing beaches and pretty town centre, there are few better places to spend the day. And, while you’re there, we strongly recommend you hop on board one of the many boat trips – which we feel are some of the best in Pembrokeshire!
From Seal Safaris to Island Cruises and even a Sunset Cruise, there’s something for everyone – with cruises running from between 1 and 2 hours.
